Validation Rules

When using the Web Validation feature to decline transactions from certain countries in order to obtain further information, you will need to provide instructional text to merchant support for review. This text will be displayed to the consumer on either the Decline screen or the Payment screen during the order process.

The text you provide should consist of instructions to the consumer regarding how the transaction might be approved; you may need proof that the consumer is over a certain age, for example, among other reasons. The following guidelines exist to help you with writing this text:

  • Instructions must be written in English.
  • Instructions may not ask for Credit Card Numbers, Bank Account Numbers, Expiration Dates, or CVV2 Codes.
  • Instructions may not contain any of the following non-compliant terminology:
    • Underage:
      • Adolescent
      • Child
      • Underage
      • Young Teen
      • Toddler
      • Pre-Teen
      • Lolita
      • Adult baby
    • Bestiality
      • Farmsex
      • Horse Sex
      • Dog Sex
      • Zoophilia
      • Animal Sex
    • Extreme Violence
      • Death
      • Murder
      • Killing
      • Extreme Pain or Suffering
      • Bloodletting
      • Cannibal
      • Dismemberment
      • Strangulation
      • Hanging
    • Rape
      • Forced Sex
      • Non-Consensual
      • Rapist
      • Sexual Assault
  • Instructions must comply at all times with all CCBill policies (Acceptable Use Policies, Terms and Conditions, etc...)
