You can pass these parameters using the following methods:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ccbill.com\/doc\/ccbill-restful-transaction-api\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RESTful Transaction API<\/a> requests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ccbill.com\/doc\/ccbill-api-charge-by-previous-transaction-id\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ChargeByPrevious<\/a> transactions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>CCBill captures and stores this passthrough data along with other payment details. The label that identifies your data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parameter value<\/strong>. It indicates that this is a Merchant-Initiated Transaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To start using custom parameters, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Create a Parameter Name<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Define a custom<strong> Parameter name<\/strong> that identifies the data you want to track. The parameter name must meet these requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>It must be a valid XML tag name <\/strong>(starts with a letter or underscore and contains only letters, digits, hyphens, underscores, and periods).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>It must not contain or represent sensitive data<\/strong>, such as credit card numbers or other personally identifiable information (PII).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from these limitations, the parameter name and value can be <strong>completely custom<\/strong>, allowing you to create labels that best fit your integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Register the Parameter with CCBill<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact CCBill Merchant Support to register and enable your passthrough parameter name in CCBill's backend configuration. Our team will configure the system to accept and process your new parameter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the parameter is enabled:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The system stores the passthrough data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The data is validated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The parameter is consistent across all CCBill systems, including Webhooks and the Admin Portal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This configuration step is essential; without it, the passthrough parameter will not be recognized or stored.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"notice-note\">\n<div class=\"notice-text\"><p><strong>Note<\/strong>: You can still pass unregistered passthrough parameters, and they will appear in Webhooks notifications. However, they are not saved in CCBill's databases or shown in reporting tools.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Add Parameter<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After creating and registering your passthrough parameter, you can include it in transaction requests. This is how the process works:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add the custom parameter to your payment request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your system sends the request to the CCBill transaction endpoint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CCBill processes the transaction and includes the parameter with the transaction data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The parameter is stored with the payment details and included in Webhooks notifications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>How you add the parameter depends on the integration method:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For <strong>RESTful API<\/strong> requests, include it in the <strong><code>passThroughInfo<\/code><\/strong> object.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For <strong>ChargeByPrevious<\/strong> requests, include it directly as a request parameter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example: Charge by Token API Request<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this example, the <strong><code>passThroughInfo<\/code><\/strong> object contains the The system returns the parameter in a Webhook notification and stores it for later use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example: ChargeByPrevious<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also include passthrough parameters in <strong>ChargeByPrevious<\/strong> requests. You can use this data to track transactions and analyze performance across different reporting periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Webhooks<\/strong> <strong>Notifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The passthrough parameter is included in the Webhook payload.
