When taking advantage of a \u201cFree\u201d trial subscription through a credit card and checking transaction, CCBill will request and your bank will immediately put a \"Reserved Funds\" hold on your credit card for the amount of the subscription plan you have selected. For a period of up to 7 to 10 days after you cancel, these funds are considered out of your bank even though technically they are still there, and you could overdraw or exceed the limits of your account.<\/li><li><strong>Authorization Holds<\/strong>. Whenever you attempt to make a purchase, the issuing bank or financial institution puts an Authorization Hold on the funds. An Authorization Hold is the practice within the financial industry of authorizing electronic transactions done with a debit card or credit card and holding this balance as unavailable (or \"pending\") until either the merchant\u2019s bank clears the transaction and accepts the funds, or denies accepting the funds and the hold is revoked.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Even when a transaction is declined, the authorization hold is deducted from your balance for a period of 3 to 7 business days after the transaction date, depending on your card issuer\u2019s policy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The two most frequent reasons why you would have a pending transaction on your account are: Free Trial Accounts.
